Season 2 of The White Lotus, which features stars like Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries, was actually filmed in Taormina, Italy, at the San Domenico Palace, Taormina, a Four Seasons Hotel, according to the New York Post. Sorry guys, the White Lotus resort doesn’t actually exist.

Rated Superb by Hotels.com users, the San Domenico Palace features three restaurants, a poolside bar, a rooftop terrace, a garden, and daily housekeeping. What’s more, you can also request an in-room message. While filming the series, the San Domenico Palace was shut down for cast and crew and it currently remains closed as it prepares for a new season.

You can stay at the hotel featured in Season 2 of The White Lotus once it begins accepting reservations for the new season. But your stay will come at a steep price. If you’re lucky, you might be able to book a room at the “White Lotus” resort for $796 depending on when you visit, though it's likely you’ll have to pay more.

Based on the search results from Hotels.com, rooms at the San Domenico Palace, Taormina typically run between $1,400 and $2,700 per night but can go as high as $5,299 (or even higher). It looks like the cheapest time to stay at the resort is either March 2023 or October 2023.

Season 1 of The White Lotus wasn’t filmed in Italy but instead, in Hawaii. The show plays out at a real hotel based in Maui called the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, according to Good Housekeeping. Although the resort isn't all-inclusive, it does feature three onsite restaurants, three swimming pools, and sensational views of the Pacific Ocean.

Unlike the resort used to film Season 2 of The White Lotus, the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is much pricier, with rates starting at around $1,900 per night, but reportedly can go as high as $25,000 per night.

Season 1 of The White Lotus was an absolute hit, and its award nominations serve as its proof. The show was nominated for 20 Emmys for its first season and took home 10! Season 1 of The White Lotus won awards in various limited series categories including Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Directing for Mike White, and Limited or Anthology Series.

Given how successful the show has been, it isn’t surprising that The White Lotus has been renewed for a third season. Although an air date hasn't been set yet for Season 3 of The White Lotus, Variety reports that it could take place in Asia.
