Intrepid Potash (IPI) has by far been the worst performer among potash fertilizer producers such as PotashCorp (POT), Agrium (AGU), and The Mosaic Company (MOS).

Analysts’ recommendations

Intrepid Potash has failed to garner much analyst attention. Two analysts recommend “holds” on the stock, while the remaining two recommend “sells.” The low number of analysts covering the stock is likely the result of its weakening fundamentals.

Intrepid Potash continues to struggle in the low pricing environment (SOIL). In recent quarters, the company’s sales have suffered significantly, putting its debt obligations under pressure.

Price target

Analysts’ consensus price target for Intrepid Potash is $2, unchanged from their previous target, as we can see in the chart above. Note that analysts’ latest available price target and recommendations were on March 1, 2017. In other words, analysts haven’t revised their price target in over a month.
