Software developer and entrepreneur Charles Hoskinson is the founder of the blockchain platform Cardano and the co-founder of Ethereum. Hoskinson joined the Ethereum team in 2013 and worked alongside Vitalik Buterin and was briefly the CEO of Ethereum before he was removed in 2014.
In 2014, he created IOHK (Input Output Hong Kong) and Cardano with Ethereum colleague Jeremy Wood. His net worth is estimated at $500 million, and in 2021, Hoskinson donated $20 million to Carnegie Mellon University to build the Hoskinson Center for Formal Mathematics.
