On Nov. 9, Pfizer announced that its coronavirus vaccine is more than 90 percent effective. Pfizer is developing the experimental coronavirus vaccine candidate, BNT162b2, in collaboration with the German drugmaker BioNTech. But who owns Pfizer and where is the pharmaceutical company based?

On Nov. 16, Moderna announced preliminary results from its phase 3 trials, which showed that the COVID-19 vaccine was over 94 percent effective. Russia also said that the preliminary results from phase 3 trials showed that the Sputnik V vaccine was 92 percent effective in preventing COVID-19.
