Credit rating agencies
Credit ratings are an effective way to determine the risk involved in investing in a particular security. The top three credit rating agencies in the world are Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s, and Fitch ratings.
Moody’s has given Antero Resources (AR) a Ba2 rating. Standard & Poor’s has given the company a BB credit rating. These ratings were affirmed in February 2016.
Moody’s noted that its rating reflected Antero’s strong hedge book and its 67.0% interest in Antero Midstream Partners (AM). Standard & Poor’s also provided a stable outlook for AR on the back of its hedges.
