Targa’s LPG exports

Targa Resources (TRGP) has LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) export facilities on the Gulf Coast at its Galena Park Marine Terminal. Targa’s LPG export business is a fee-based business with no direct commodity price exposure. It charges fees for loading vessels at the dock.

Targa has an effective operational capacity of ~7.0 MMBbl (million barrels) per month of exports. The company’s estimated exports in 2016 are ~5.5 MMBbls per month.

Geographical breakup

Nearly half of Targa’s LPG exports are to Latin America and South America, while one-fourth go to the Caribbean countries, and the remaining go to Europe and the Far East.
