A South Florida father of three is proving just how useful ChatGPT can be by using it to help him sell his home. No realtor, no lengthy training, just him and the AI chatbot working together to get the property sold. And it worked, believe it or not.
The homeowner, who has been identified by South Florida 6 as Robert Levine, sold his home within a week of consulting ChatGPT for help. Here’s the full story.
This man used ChatGPT to sell his South Florida home.
After living in his Cooper City home for 15 years, Robert Levine, a husband and father of three, decided it was time to sell. And while the next step would usually involve contacting a realtor and getting his home listed on the market, he wanted to save some cash and do it himself, with the help of ChatGPT. But is that even possible?
Apparently so, because Levine told South Florida 6 that he was able to sell his home within a week, saving tens of thousands of dollars in the process.
“I really wanted to challenge myself to use AI for the entire journey… every step,” the Florida resident told the news outlet.
Levine shared that he used AI to help with planning, pricing, marketing, and even took the chatbot’s advice in terms of cosmetic updates. He said he repainted some rooms in his home because “that’s where ChatGPT said you’re gonna get the biggest return on your investment.” But that’s not all. Levine says one of the most helpful things ChatGPT provided was a step-by-step timeline of the entire process, including when to pack.
What’s more, ChatGPT also helped him design marketing materials like an open house handout and the online listing. And to take it a step further, the AI chatbot even explained how to get his home listed on the MLS, the Multiple Listing Service used by real estate professionals to track and list property information. It also suggested the best day to list his home (Tuesday), and it must have been right (or been a coincidence), because within 72 hours of listing, he had five offers on the table.

While the family did hold an open house that Saturday, by Sunday, they had a signed contract.
“It exceeded our expectations,” Levine told the news outlet, describing ChatGPT’s role in his home-selling process. Now, while he did mention that he had hired a lawyer to review the contracts, because selling a home is a pretty big commitment, that’s as far as he went in terms of seeking outside help.
Florida homeowner said he saved about 3 percent of the sale price by using ChatGPT to sell his home.
If you’re wondering why this Florida homeowner decided to use ChatGPT to sell his home rather than hire a realtor, the main reason comes down to money. He told South Florida 6 that he saved around 3 percent of the total sale price of the home just by using ChatGPT to assist him.
And based on the size and location of his home, it’s safe to say he saved a considerable amount.
