Charter or Comcast: Who Will Post the Most Revenue Growth?

Charter’s revenue trend

For the quarter ending on March 31, Charter Communications (CHTR) posted net revenues of $11.21 billion—an increase of 5.2% from $10.66 billion in the same quarter of 2018. Sequentially, the company’s net revenues fell 0.2% from $11.23 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Analysts expect Charter’s net revenues to change YoY (year-over-year) by 5.0% to $11.40 billion in the second quarter, 5.3% to $11.47 billion in the third quarter, and 4.1% to $11.69 billion in the fourth quarter.

Analysts also expect Charter’s net revenues to change YoY by 4.9% to $45.8 billion in fiscal 2019, 5.5% to $48.3 billion in fiscal 2020, and 4.4% to $50.4 billion in fiscal 2021.

Comcast’s revenue trend

For the quarter ending on March 31, Comcast (CMCSA) posted net revenues of $26.9 billion—an increase of 17.8% from $22.8 billion in the same quarter of 2018. Sequentially, the company’s net revenues fell 3.5% from $27.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Analysts expect Comcast’s net revenues to change YoY by 26.2% to $27.4 billion in the second quarter, 26.0% to $27.9 billion in the third quarter, and 4.7% to $29.2 billion in the fourth quarter.

Analysts expect Comcast’s net revenues to change YoY by 17.8% to $111.3 billion in fiscal 2019, 5.4% to $117.3 billion in fiscal 2020, and 2.8% to $120.6 billion in fiscal 2021.
