Goldman Sachs’ top picks are American Airlines (AAL) and Alaska Air Group (ALK). Apart from Alaska Air, Credit Suisse’s favorite picks also include Delta Air Lines (DAL) and United Continental (UAL).

American Airlines has a consensus rating of ~1.84 from the analysts polled by Reuters. About 84% of the analysts have provided bullish recommendations on the stock. Six of the 19 analysts tracking the stock recommended a “strong buy,” ten recommended a “buy,” and three recommended a “hold.” Analysts’ target price of $47.37 on the stock represents a potential 19.5% rise from the current price of $39.65.

Alaska Air

Alaska Air has a consensus rating of ~2.25 from the analysts polled by Reuters. The stock has received bullish recommendations from ~63% of the analysts. Three of the 16 analysts tracking the stock recommended a “strong buy,” seven recommended a “buy,” five recommended a “hold,” and one recommended a “sell.” Analysts’ target price of $80.73 on the stock represents a potential 10.8% rise from the current price of $72.84.

Delta Air Lines

The analysts polled by Reuters have provided a consensus rating of ~1.65 for Delta Air Lines. About 95% of the analysts have provided bullish recommendations on the stock. Among the 20 analysts tracking the stock, eight recommended a “strong buy,” 11 recommended a “buy,” and one recommended a “hold.” Analysts’ target price of $68.53 on the stock represents a potential 14% rise from its current price of $60.12.

United Continental

United Continental has a consensus rating of ~2.16 from the analysts polled by Reuters. About 53% of the analysts have provided bullish recommendations on the stock. Six of the 19 analysts tracking the stock recommended a “strong buy,” four recommended a “buy,” and nine recommended a “hold.” Analysts’ target price of $103.06 on the stock represents a potential 6.8% rise from the current price of $96.46.
