Flotek Industries’ international revenue

In the past year, Flotek Industries’ (FTK) revenue share generated outside the United States has gained. FTK’s international revenue rose to make up 21% of its total revenue in 3Q16, compared with 16% in 3Q15. In comparison, Schlumberger’s (SLB) revenue from international operations, by the end of 3Q16, rose to ~76% of its total revenue, against 71% a year ago. International rig count

On September 30, the international rig count had fallen 18% from a year prior. The fall was not as significant as that of the US rig count, which we discussed in the previous part of this series. Between September and November, the international rig count fell 1%. A lower international rig count could impact FTK’s revenue and earnings in 4Q16. FTK makes up 0.08% of the SPDR S&P 600 Small Cap ETF (SLY). Next, we’ll discuss Flotek Industries’ debt.
