Entrepreneur Jeff Lerner Went from $500k in Debt to $50 Million in Sales

Entrepreneur Jeff Lerner turned his life around in the 2010s. He went from $500,000 in debt to online sales of $50 million after learning about affiliate marketing. Now, Lerner is sharing his knowledge on his podcast, his YouTube channel, and his ENTRE Institute.
“Learn only from people who are as successful as you want to be (or more) in both business and life,” he said in a press release.

Lerner’s net worth isn’t publicly available, but he says on his personal website that he has gone from “broke jazz musician” to $50 million in online sales.
Lerner elaborated on those inauspicious early days in the press release. He said that in 2018, he was living in his ex-wife’s parents’ spare bedroom and facing bankruptcy. He had $500,000 in debt from various business failures, including two restaurant franchises. He got piano-playing gigs, but an injured hand left him “barely able to play.”
Lerner discovered a course in online affiliate marketing. He spent 12 to 16 hours over the next few months learning about the topic. He only took breaks to shoot “really cringe-worthy marketing videos” in the backyard, as he said in another press release.
“It worked,” he added. “Six months later … I generated $40,000 in commissions in a single month. The next month, it was $70,000. By the end of that year, I was the #3 affiliate marketer in a community of over 40,000 students.”
Jeff Lerner started his company ENTRE Institute in 2018.
Along the way, Lerner got out of debt, moved to New York, got an MBA, and started a family. In 2018, he founded his ENTRE Institute, which he calls “the world’s first complete ecosystem for people to build the life of their dreams.” According to the website, ENTRE offers a video course series, a digital course bundle, a coaching program, and various membership tiers (including ENTRE Inner Circle).
As of December 2020, ENTRE boasted 1,000 online videos and more than 50,000 paid students. Lerner said, “Basically I’m proof that anyone can do anything if they are willing to go through hell, always working on themselves, and willing to ignore the doubters and naysayers.”
Jeff Lerner has banked more than 100 episodes of his podcast.
In addition to his work at ENTRE, the businessman hosts the podcast Millionaire Secrets With Jeff Lerner, which currently boasts 139 episodes and a five-star rating on Apple Podcasts. The show “brings in outlier examples of physical, personal, and professional excellence and digs deep for the “secrets” that define extraordinary success.”

Lerner has a “Millionaire Secrets” YouTube channel, which currently has more than 47,000 subscribers and features “Ask Jeff” segments and video versions of his Millionaire Secrets podcast episodes.
