Tableau has expanded into Sweden, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong
Over the years, Tableau Software (DATA) has been spreading its wings outside North America, signing deals with notable companies such as BNP Paribas and Lenovo and expanding into the Asia-Pacific and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) regions. Tableau’s competitively priced innovative products have attracted businesses around the world.
Tableau’s international revenue grew only 5.4%
Tableau’s global footprint has recently expanded into Sweden, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong. However, despite this scope for expansion, the company’s growth has been uninspiring. Under ASC (Accounting Standards Codification) 605, the company’s revenue outside the United States and Canada revenue grew just 5.4% YoY (year-over-year) to $85.9 million, while its US and Canadian revenue grew ~12% YoY.
Tableau’s revenue from abroad represents 31% of its total revenue, and that proportion has not increased meaningfully over the last few years. However, as the company expands into more countries, its international revenue growth could speed up.
