Helix is FireEye’s latest offering in the security space
Earlier in this series, we discussed FireEye’s (FEYE) 1Q17 results. In late March 2017, FireEye launched Helix, its latest offering in the security space. Helix is an intelligence-driven platform that simplifies, integrates, and mechanizes security operations regardless of the organization’s size or industry.
According to Kevin Mandia, FireEye’s CEO, Helix integrates the company’s “network and endpoint protection technologies with a unified security console that centralizes alerts from FireEye solutions, and from all third-party products or nearly all third-party security products.”
Frank Verdecanna, FireEye’s CFO, noted that at the end of 1Q17, the company closed four Helix deals “in four different vertical markets, including an energy company and a leading apparel company. Two of these customers are brand-new logos to FireEye.
“The Helix deals drove incremental product sales as well, in both new and existing customers, including NX sales, HX sales and cloud e-mail.”
FireEye’s additional offerings
FireEye’s other offerings include Cloud MVX, MVX Smart Grid, HX (endpoint security), NX (network security), AX (malware analysis), EX (email security), FX (file content security), and Endpoint Forensics.
In its most recent quarter, FireEye strengthened HX with Exploit Guard to facilitate behavioral analysis. HX is the company’s next-generation endpoint offering, which protects network endpoints from malware. FireEye expects HX to drive growth in the second half of 2017.
