The "Suicide Squad" actor, Jared Leto set the record straight back in 2017 when he revealed that he was single and had no intention of having any kids any time soon. According to The Standard, he said, "I think it's really important to be present if you have children. I have a lot of...things to take care of." The 51-year-old actor is known for many roles but seems like fatherhood is one that he is not going to take on.

The "Sex and the City" writer, Candace Bushnell made it clear in an interview that she does not want kids when she said, "There are women who do it. On the other hand, there are a lot of women writers who never get married and don’t have kids. I am married, but I didn’t marry until I was 43. I knew when I was young that if I had to choose between being married and being a writer, I would have chosen to be a writer. I think it’s a career where you have to put the career first. I don’t have kids but—and luckily everyone isn’t like this—I think if you have that passion, in a way, your career is your child."

During an interview with ELLE magazine, the singer, Miley Cyrus revealed that she has no plans to have kids. "We’re getting handed a piece-of-sh*t planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child,” the "Hannah Montana" star said. "Until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water, I’m not bringing in another person to deal with that." She then added, "We don’t want to reproduce because we know that the earth can’t handle it." However, she did mention that she is open to adoption and may adopt a child in the future.

In an interview with PEOPLE, TV host Ellen DeGeneres said of herself and her wife Portia de Rossi in 2013, "Honestly, we’d probably be great parents. But it’s a human being, and unless you think you have excellent skills and have a drive or yearning in you to do that the amount of work that is and responsibility—I wouldn’t want to screw them up! We love our animals." Even her mother shed light on the matter saying that her daughter's lifestyle is not suited for raising kids.

Back in 2014, in an interview with TODAY, the "Friends" star said, " I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done and if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my being a woman or my worth or my value as a woman." "Y’know, I’ve birthed a lot of things…I feel like I’ve mothered many things, and I don’t think it’s fair to put that pressure on people," she added. The actress has been hounded for years about not choosing to have a child and finally talked about it in 2014.

6. Seth Rogen

On "The Howard Stern Show," he said, "I would say she wants kids less than I do. I could probably be talked into it; she’s like no. I wouldn’t be able to do all this work that I like. People are always like—it’s something I think I was uncomfortable answering before—but they were like, ‘How do you do so much?’ The answer is I don’t have kids...I have nothing else to do."

The couple dated for two years before calling it quits in the year 2011. He later said that he was "too busy" to have and raise any kids.

Back in 2012, when Westfeldt was still dating Jon Hamm, she said to The New York Times Magazine, "The chance that we’ll regret it doesn’t seem like a compelling enough reason to do it, I may wake up tomorrow with the lightning bolt, and I'll scramble to make it happen...One way is mobile. No one’s had to give up an opportunity they wanted." Jennifer Westfeldt has said in the past that she never thought that she would reach her 40s and not have any kids. However, her outlook on life changed with age.

9. Issa Rae

During her interview with Self, the writer Issa Rae said, "I like my life, I like this selfishness, and I know that I have a window, I’ve always felt that way, that women, Black women especially—unless you’re Viola Davis or Angela Bassett—you have a window when people are going to want to continue to see you and see what you can do. Then there are so many limitations placed upon you, and that does keep me up. I want to do as much as I can while I still can. I know it’s not the proper mentality to think that kids will slow you down but I do feel that way."

10. Katie Thurston

Katie Thurston admitted on the "Bachelorette" premiere that kids aren't a must-have part of her future. "For me, I want kids in some way I think. Whether it’s someone who already has a child, that’s something I’m fine with. If someone doesn’t want children, I think I’m also fine with that. I’m just open to all scenarios." The actor is open to all circumstances and doesn't feel that having a kid is mandatory.
