ET, LNG, and MPLX: Top Midstream Gains Last Week



Top gains

Among MLPs and midstream stocks, Viper Energy Partners (VNOM) rose 9.4% in the week ending February 1. The stock has risen 22% YTD (year-to-date). Global Partners (GLP) and GasLog Partners (GLOP) rose 7.6% and 7.5%, respectively. Cheniere Energy Partners (CQP) and Cheniere Energy (LNG) rose 7.2% and 5.4%, respectively. Energy Transfer (ET) and MPLX (MPLX) each rose 4.9% last week. The above graph shows the top ten MLP and midstream gainers last week.

Top losses

Shell Midstream Partners (SHLX) and Tallgrass Energy (TGE) fell 5.5% and 4.3%, respectively, last week. Magellan Midstream Partners (MMP) fell 3.5% last week.

Magellan Midstream Partners reported its fourth-quarter results last week. The company saw two target price cuts last week, which we’ll discuss in the next part of this series.
