Phosphate Prices: Mainly Flat for the Week Ending November 2

In the week ending November 2, the DAP (diammonium phosphate) prices were mainly unchanged week-over-week at six of the seven locations discussed below. DAP prices have hit a pause in the upward momentum that’s challenging companies (MOO) including Mosaic (MOS), Nutrien (NTR), and Israel Chemicals (ICL).

Weekly movements

Last week, the DAP prices at the three locations in the United States were flat week-over-week. In Tampa, the prices remained flat at $428 per metric ton. In NOLA (New Orleans), the prices remained flat at $379 per metric ton, while the prices in Central Florida were flat at $386 per metric ton week-over-week.

Outside the US, the DAP prices in Morocco remained flat week-over-week at $446 per metric ton. In Saudi Arabia, the prices remained flat at $422 per metric compared to the week ending October 26. In India, the DAP prices were also flat at $427 during the same period.

In contrast to the above locations, China was the only place that experienced a weekly gain in the DAP prices by 24 basis points week-over-week to $411 per metric ton from $410 per metric ton.
