In August, market research firm IDC (International Data Corporation) named BlackBerry (BB) a leader in the Worldwide Enterprise Mobility Management Software 2018 Vendor Assessment. The report provides an analysis of EMM (enterprise mobility management) software providers globally.
BlackBerry was named a leader for the second consecutive year. It was also identified as a leader in EMM by the Radicati Group. EMM provides enterprises with the ability to securely manage employees’ mobile devices.
EMM solutions generally support multiple smartphone operating systems. Worldwide EMM revenues are estimated to grow from $1.86 billion in 2017 to $3.38 billion in 2021.
Gartner names BlackBerry a leader in UEM
In July, Gartner named BlackBerry a leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Endpoint Management Tools. It evaluates BlackBerry’s ability to execute and its completeness of vision in the UEM (unified endpoint management) market.
Billy Ho, executive vice president of Enterprise Products at BlackBerry, stated, “By leveraging the BlackBerry UEM platform, enterprises can manage a large fleet of diverse and connected devices from a single console, while ensuring the necessary compliance, privacy, and security needed in today’s hyperconnected world.”
