Can New MalwareGuard Boost FireEye’s Endpoint Security Business?



The latest malware product

FireEye (FEYE) continued to enhance its endpoint security products with the launch of its MalwareGuard on July 31. The product features high-end machine learning capabilities to detect threats for its Endpoint Security solution.

Existing clients can use the latest product, which is available with the latest FireEye Endpoint Security 4.5, at no extra cost. Likewise, new customers can take advantage of a free trial. Users can access the product through cloud, on-premise, or hybrid platforms. The cyber firm has also teamed up with Oracle (ORCL) to use its cloud service for delivery.

Change in strategy to drive business

The intelligence-based cyber firm is gradually moving from detecting threats to providing solutions. As a result, it has added some extra security features, which include Policy Manager, Alert Workflow Update, and Cloud Identity and Access Management.

FireEye Endpoint Security also offers investigation, detection, and response capabilities that allow enterprises to quickly explore and respond to attacks on the endpoint. Thus, the launch of such advanced security products is also driving the company’s business.
