OKE Saw Most Buying by Institutional Investors among Peers

Capital Research Global Investors added a major position in ONEOK (OKE) during the first quarter. It bought 7.2 million shares of OKE valued at $412.4 million. BlackRock Institutional Trust Company was the second biggest institutional buyer in the c corp. It bought 3.1 million shares of OKE. Among the top ten institutional investors in OKE, 14.4 million positions were added. The Vanguard Group continues to be the largest holder in OKE with an addition of 2.9 million positions during the quarter. It currently holds 10.7% in the C corporation.

Western Gas Partners

Brookfield Investment Management added a major position in Western Gas Partners (WES) during the first quarter. It bought 4.2 million shares of WES valued at $181.3 million. On the other hand, Morgan Stanley Investment Management was the biggest seller in the partnership. It sold 2.5 million shares of WES. Among the top institutional holders in WES, 6.0 million positions were added, which indicates a bullish sentiment in the stock. Tortoise Capital Advisors continues to be the top institutional holder in WES. It currently holds 9.0% in the partnership.

Targa Resources

Targa Resources (TRGP) saw a net addition of 6.7 million positions among the top ten institutional holders during the first quarter, which indicates a bullish sentiment in the stock. Brookfield Investment Management was the biggest buyer in TRGP. It added 4.1 million positions. On the other hand, Scopia Capital Management was the biggest seller. It sold 2.2 million positions. The Vanguard Group is currently the top institutional holder in TRGP. It currently holds 8.9% in the C corporation.

DCP Midstream

DCP Midstream (DCP) saw net unloading of 0.4 million positions among the top ten institutional holders during the first quarter. Brookfield Investment Management and Harvest Fund Advisors were the biggest buyers in DCP. The firms bought 2.7 million and 1.7 million shares in DCP during the quarter, respectively. On the other hand, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors and Tortoise Capital Advisors were the biggest sellers. They sold 2.0 million and 1.2 million shares, respectively. Advisory Research continues to be the top institutional holder in DCP despite the unloading of 0.16 million shares during the quarter. It currently holds 5.7% in DCP.
