Visa Upgrades Its Terminals in Minneapolis



Streamlining operations

Visa (V) announced on February 2 the upgrade of various POS (point-of-sale) terminals for certain businesses in Minneapolis. These businesses’ customers will now be able to make payments in a more refined way. The upgraded POS terminals also include 700 POS terminals in U.S. Bank Stadium. Penny’s, Four Seasons Curling Club, and Misfit have tried out these POS terminals.

The return on invested capital for American Express (AXP) stood at 3.23% on an LTM (last-12-month) basis. Peers (XLF) Visa, Discover Financial Services (DFS), and Synchrony Financial (SYF) recorded 15.62%, 2.92%, and 2.62%.

Visa’s recent POS upgrades include contactless technology transactions. With the help of this technology, customers can make payments through their devices or cards. With these types of transactions, customers need not have security concerns, as it’s fully secured. Moreover, POS terminals now have a sensory branding feature.
