Carlyle Wraps Up the Sale of Companeo

On January 11, 2018, The Carlyle Group (CG) announced the sale of Companeo Groupe to Infopro Digital. Companeo, in the business of lead generation, helps businesses find new customers. It has a strong presence in Europe. The alternative asset manager invested in Companeo and acquired a majority stake in August 2010, expecting that the company would enhance its reach in Spain and Germany.

According to Carlyle, it has helped Companeo enhance its reach in Europe. Also, Companeo has successfully initiated new platforms. Companeo has a favorable outlook on the sale and expects to see long-term growth with the help of Infopro Digital.

Infopro Digital’s media brands, capabilities, and other elements could help Companeo build relationships with the customers and innovate quickly. Moreover, Companeo is expected to benefit from B2B (business-to-business) marketing’s current positive momentum.

Whereas Carlyle has an LTM (last-12-month) FCF (free cash flow) yield of 7.5%, peers (XLF) Brookfield Asset Management (BAM), Ameriprise Financial (AMP), and CBRE Group (CBG) have LTM FCF yields of 0.71%, 4.8%, and 6.8%, respectively.
