Oil growth forecasts in the DJ and Delaware Basins

Anadarko Petroleum (APC) expects to double its production in the DJ and Delaware Basins to at least 600 Mboepd from the current 280 Mboepd by 2021. It’s already accelerated its activity in these two regions by adding two rigs in each region after its Gulf of Mexico asset acquisition.

Assuming a $50–$60 oil price environment, APC expects to see a compound annual growth rate of 12%–14% in its oil volumes between 2016 and 2020.

4Q16 realized prices

Anadarko Petroleum’s average realized price for crude oil (USO) and condensates rose from $40.34 per barrel in 4Q15 to $47.01 per barrel in 4Q16. Its average realized price for natural gas (UNG) rose from $2.04 per thousand cubic feet in 4Q15 to $2.56 per thousand cubic feet in 4Q16. APC’s average realized price for natural gas liquids rose from $19.64 per barrel in 4Q15 to $24.62 per barrel in 4Q16.

The above price rises explain APC’s higher revenue in 4Q16.
