Ethane demand

According to ONEOK (OKE), nearly one-third of all US ethane being rejected is on ONEOK Partners’ (OKS) NGL (natural gas liquid) system. The company expects increased demand for ethane in 2017 and beyond from new petrochemical facilities.

The above graph shows ethane supply and demand forecasts through 2020. Announced petrochemical facilities are expected to create an incremental 565,000 bpd (barrels per day) of ethane demand by 1Q19. The increased demand for ethane should benefit ONEOK in future.
