Strong network

This was possible due to the strong network the company has built. The company has strong tie-ins with all major Chinese airlines, such as Air China, China Eastern Airlines (CEA), China Southern Airlines (ZNH), and Hainan Airlines, and many international airlines operating flights that originate from Chinese cities such as Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, American Airlines (AAL), Lufthansa, Emirates Airlines, Qantas Airways, Air France-KLM, and Delta Air Lines (DAL). Ctrip is also one of the few airline ticket providers that maintain a centralized reservation system and ticket fulfillment infrastructure across all major cities in the country.

Add-on services

Apart from the regular ticketing services, the segment also provides a host of add-on services such as aviation and train insurance, air ticket delivery services, online check-in, and other value-added services, such as online seat selection and flight dynamics. The segment contributes to as much as 36% of the company’s total revenues.

Ctrip International (CTRP) is the largest holding of the Golden Dragon Halter USX China Portfolio (PGJ), accounting for 5.6% of its portfolio.
