Network speed performance of wireless carriers in Toledo in 2H15
In the previous part of the series, we learned about the top spot of Verizon (VZ) in RootMetrics’ overall network performance metrics for the Toledo market in 2H15. We also learned about Verizon and AT&T’s (T) shared the first position in the network reliability metric for Toledo in 2H15. Now let’s look at the relative performance of Verizon, among the top four US wireless carriers, in the network speed metrics for the Toledo market.
Based on the RootMetrics 2H15 Metro results for Toledo, Verizon’s performance in the network speed metrics improved from the same in 1H15 for the market. The company shared the top spot in the metric for the Toledo market with T-Mobile (TMUS) in 2H15. Earlier in 1H15, Verizon had the third place among the top four US wireless carriers.
Also, as per the results, AT&T shared the top spot in network speed metrics with T-Mobile in 1H15. In 2H15, AT&T’s position slipped to the fourth spot. Meanwhile, Sprint’s (S) rank improved from fourth in 1H15 to third in 2H15.

Based on these RootMetrics results, Verizon bagged the top spot in the data performance metric for Toledo in 2H15. Earlier in 1H15, Verizon had to share this place with AT&T and T-Mobile. T-Mobile and AT&T got second and third spots, respectively, in the metrics in 2H15. In addition, Sprint shared the third place in this metric for Toledo with AT&T in 2H15.
