Advertising Week kicked off in New York on September 28, 2015. The prestigious event is important for marketers and ad industry executives everywhere.
Among other key trends in the marketing world, ad blocking is one of the main topics of discussion this year. The ad blocking trend has gained traction over the last couple of years and is now posing a threat to the $60 billion online advertising industry, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
According to a Statista report and as the graph above depicts, online ad spending is estimated to grow to around $183 billion in 2018.
Latest products showcased at Advertising Week
Advertising Week will attract executives from the advertising, media, and technology fields. Some companies attending include Facebook (FB), NBC Universal (CMCSA), and Google.
A host of ad-technology companies and advertising agencies will be present to showcase their latest advertising products and services in order to lure companies such as General Electric (GE), MasterCard (MA), and Under Armour.
