Embraer’s executive jets family

In the second article of this series, we saw Embraer’s (ERJ) various types of commercial aircraft. The commercial aircraft industry can be roughly divided into the following two segments: narrow-bodied aircraft and wide-bodied aircraft. In this article, we’ll learn about Embraer’s types of executive jets.

  • Lineage. The Lineage 1000E is a luxury business jet with a huge five-cabin space. It features the latest technologies such as SmartProbes, Fly-by-wire, and engines by General Electric (GE).
  • Legacy. The Legacy series consists of Legacy 450, 500, 600, and 650 aircraft. These airliners have a capacity of seven to 14 passengers and feature engines by Honeywell.
  • Phenom. The Phenom series consists of Phenom 100E and 300 aircraft. The 100E and 300 are very light jets (or personal jets) with a capacity of four to six passengers. They are powered by two Pratt & Whitney TurboFan engine variants and are among the company’s most popular business jets.

Embraer’s (ERJ) competitors include Rockwell Collins (COL), United Technologies Corporation (UTX), and Northrop Grumman (NOC). These companies are part of the Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI).
