Dominion Energy’s (D) top institutional investor, the Vanguard Group, increased its stake in the utility in 3Q17. According to a recent report, the Vanguard Group added net 1.6 million shares, which brought its total holdings in Dominion to 7.2%.

Blackrock Institutional Trust added net 0.81 million shares of Dominion Energy. At the end of 3Q17, it held 32.5 million shares, or ~5.1% of Dominion’s total outstanding shares.

Investors that reduced their shares

Wellington Management sold net 2.6 million shares of Dominion Energy in 3Q17. That reduced its total stake to 4.2% as of September 30, 2017.

Capital Research Global Investors also trimmed its total holdings for Dominion Energy in 3Q17. It sold net 1.4 million shares. It now holds 4% of Dominion’s total outstanding shares.
