PBF Energy Was the Top Energy Loser Last Week

On September 8–15, 2017, PBF Energy (PBF) underperformed the energy sector stocks. The energy stock list belongs to the following ETFs—the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE), the VanEck Vectors Oil Services ETF (OIH), the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP), and the Alerian MLP ETF (AMLP). A few integrated energy stocks that aren’t part of these ETFs are also on the list.

Other top losers on our list of the energy stocks are all midstream stocks. In fact, AMLP underperformed the energy subsector ETFs in the trailing week, as we discussed in Part 2.

Midstream stocks Valero Energy Partners (VLP), Cheniere Energy Partners (CQH), Energy Transfer Equity (ETE), and Western Refining Logistics (WNRL) were ranked second, third, fourth, and fifth on our list of energy stocks. On September 15, 2017, Valero Energy Partners announced that it will report its earnings results for 3Q17 on October 27, 2017.
