WY has recently embarked on the disposition of several of its underperforming and non-core businesses in order to focus more on its core timberland projects. The recent sale of its Uruguay timberland interests has also fueled the company’s profitability.

Domtar (UFS) has been assigned a target price of $41.57, which represents a 4% premium based on the stock’s current price level. While four analysts have rated the stock a “buy” or “strong buy,” eight have rated the stock a “hold.” The remaining two analysts have rated the stock a “sell.”
Resolute Forests Products (RFP) has been assigned a target price of $4.94, which is 3.1% lower than its current price level. Of the four analysts tracking the stock, two have rated it a “hold,” and the remaining two have rated it a “sell” or “strong sell.”
Notably, WY, RYN, and IP make up ~20% of the iShares Global Timber & Forestry ETF (WOOD), which has 23% exposure to REITs and almost 10% exposure to paper and forest products.
