Carlyle Group to Experience Fundraising in 2H17
Market analysts expect that Carlyle Group (CG) could post earnings per share (or EPS) of $0.45 in 2Q17, reflecting a significant decline of 58.7% from its 1Q17 EPS. Carlyle Group is expected to post revenues of ~$662.7 million in 2Q17, which reflects a 43% decline from its 1Q17 revenues.
Carlyle Group posted strong numbers in 1Q17 on the back of its significant investment performance and a positive fundraising environment. However, the company’s management expects that a positive fundraising environment would continue in 2H17. The company has been working to achieve its fundraising target of $100.0 billion by 2019. Carlyle Group’s Real Assets division is expected to witness a significant amount of fundraising in 2017.
